This little-known natural area sits on the shores of Saginaw Bay. A narrow, C-shaped peninsula sticks out into the Bay creating a protected cove that is excellent for wildlife watching. Part of the site is highly developed to accommodate RV users and family camping, but there are also 4 nature trails that traverse woodlands, marshes, and the Saginaw Bay shoreline.
Moments after arriving, you'll be in the land of the past. A quiet, rich, lovely wilderness of long ago. The scenic Rifle puts enjoying nature at your fingertips, while the current carries you along effortlessly. If avoiding crowds is important to you, pick any day but Saturday during late June, July and August.
